Good Hour At Farm

went for a scout at a local farm yesterday morning & on arrival I spotted the usual corvids at the muck pile so I know by past visits they all scarper when a car pulls in but I quickly got out car to see a rook hanging back so rapid cocked I leant on mirror placed the crosshairs on its napper & squeezed the trigger sending it tumbling from the muck heap stone dead! good start to my little drive out , a few people started to gather around for haylage and I was a bit apprehensive about taking a feral on shed roof but a farm hand saw me looking up and gestured to me to shoot it so without further ado I lined it up and sent it crashing off the roof to the amazement of bystanders who then wanted a look at rifle and a bit patter [im all for a chinwag ] a lad pointed another on another roof 40yds away so I moved a few steps forward raised the rapid and down it came landing amongst some packing crates" fxxking hell" is all I could hear behind me ,think I impressed a few non airgun lads with them two shots! managed a few easy ones but missed a piss easy magpie which spoilt my hour out -billy

thanks lads-I havent been out as much this year as wife is poorly but hopefully on the mend now so I can get back to my favourite past time -hunting

Corvids are the most wiley of birds, hard to whack a good bag, unless your into branching

great shooting, i find it hard on some times to get corvids so i just drive the tractor past them stop and shoot and they don't know whats happened
