Saluki246 1,053
Have had this lad below a few months now, his a full saluki, tor of dartmoor and win swift, 17 month old. Doing very well. I decided to get started on just a few bunny's last night, nothing major, just to see how he would perform, as he has never been on the lamp before. When we first got their, he was reluctant to come out the car a bit, as it was dark..lol, his use to going out in the early mornings and daytime. Him came out eventually and once he started to sniff the ground with the scent of rabbits, he started to pull on his slip. Took a while for him to spot the bunny's in the beam, but he did after a while, i did not slip him till he seen the rabbits. He missed a few, and got 3, the last slip was a funny one, he has had a couple of foxes and done well, so i spotted a fox, sqeeked him in, slipped my saluki, he was on him well, when a rabbit got up and distracted him, he ran that instead and after boxing him in well, picked the rabbit up...lol, great way to end i thought, i did not want to run him anymore, just keep his confidence up and end on a high. Also its still a bit early yet, plenty of time for more. Will also hopefully like to get him on a long ear or 2. Pics below, not the best, as he blinked and wanted to get going again..lol, better pic of him in the daytime below the others. Better pics of him here. 15 Quote Link to post
