the_stig 6,614 Posted November 14, 2013 Report Share Posted November 14, 2013 I worked the markets with my granddad when I a kid I`d of been around 13 and the Asian mr bowa that stood next to my granddad sold material I remember him saying to me you`ll never make any money working for anyone else and try and do a job where people are handing you cash --- he moved on to selling clothing when I got married me and the mrs used to stand the local weekend markets to top up our wages she had a sweet stall I sold the checked lumber jackets of the early 80s with the fur collers mr bowa set me up sale or return I often think back on his words he came here and worked as a bus conductor set his stall out and became a very rich man ... 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
Blackbriar 8,569 Posted November 14, 2013 Report Share Posted November 14, 2013 (edited) I've worked for a couple of firms owned by Indians/Pakistanis - they are very good at finding ways to keep their overheads down and they drive a very hard bargain - a deadly combination if you're trying to do business with them !
