Has anybody got or had this rifle, I am picking up one tomorrow!!!

 

What mounts you need to fit a large front lensed scope?

rapids usually come with mounts or think you will need a set of high mounts

30 tube and it's a 3-9x56

They are a standard 25 mm.

 

Ask on the rapid forum. Someone will point you in the right direction

Your better off getting a Weaver rail fitted bud which gives You more mounting options with a big Scope,

As the Rapids come with there own type of mounts 25mm & 30mm but You can get risers to fit.

But the Rapid wont except other types of non theoben mounts.

So with the weaver fitted You can put any type of weaver mounts or Night vision on the Rig without having to rezero

which is a Bonus.

Don't get a Best fittings one or Dr Bobs as their expensive, Ask Buster has He knows a Lad off BBS who does them Cheaper

about £30 i think instead of the £50 notes that Bob charges.

Rapids come with mounts fitted. But as has been said a weaver mount is a better option for a big scope

my SB 56 scope didnt need risers nor did my EB 8X56 quite tight to the barrell but a good enough gap and its good to get your scope as near the barrell as possible

Also with the Weaver fitted it will give You a Flatter Trajectory as the scope will not be as tight to the Barrel,

All My scoped rifles are 2 inches from centre of barrel to centre of scope
