So every dog hear who have said is grumpy when not working is a liability then be have lad dogs get pissed off and grmpy and will do things like this if they are grumpy

Dogs that fight and cause damage such as what has happened in this case are a liability, unless you have a fondness for expensive vet bills and dead dogs.

true , it comes down to kennel managment,? all dogs should have there (own) space.Any dog can kick off (back of a car etc ...) but when they know who the (boss) it might think twice about fighting.If it been my saluki x i would give the fecker a good hiding, it might have not had a go if it knew what would happen. Ive had all types, pits ,bullxs,colliexs etc no prob they know who boss of the kennels .Just beacuse it hot, no work ,dont mean jack shit, what about a kid got on its nerves ?? clamp down on them heavy big+small better to give them a good hiding than a vet bill + dead dog

He is nearly 3in taller and 20lb heavier than Bryn.If they kicked off when Buck older, Buck would kill him no dout about it, Bryn struggles with him now in play. You can see what would happen if it got out of hand, but Buck knows now who boss, and will cower down from just by my mouth never mind my boot lol.One boss me .

I still think your missing the point though mate. So if it was a lurcher and you raised your hand to it and it gave you a clear warning it will bite what would you do ?

Haven't red all the comments, but if I had a dog that done that to another in the pack over absolutely nothing that would have went to the vets aswell absalute liability

Once your dog does that to you its because its lost its trust in you and your not guna get away with doing it a second time. If some one cracked us and tryed it again you would be ready for it and give um one back i would.

If ANY dog of mine ever showed me its teeth or growled because I was chastising it for any reason then it would be taking a one way walk down the vets

I asked in my post if lads have had the same with there dogs getting the pisser on with not out in field or fens working. Not what they would do if it steps a foot out of line. Dont start cursing each other cheers for the replies and im keeping them away from each other. These two dogs are normally best of friends and some thing made my dog flip and i think its not running game.

Ive seen alot of good dogs get funny over food including one of my lurchers when he was a pup. It was quickly sorted without kicking f**k out of him. Now if i walk past the bowl when hes eating he will move away.atb

We expect the mutts to hunt,chase and kill,these traits are in the majority of working lurchers and can manifest themselves at any given moment.The best trained and complacent of mutts are capable of the odd fit of aggressive behaviour.When a dog shows these traits on a more than regular occurence,then id finish it as its a liability in waiting,a dog that raises its teeth to the owner and cannot be corrected,is a cull.

Well yesterday my saluki x bitch got hold of our lass pride and joy little lottie our jackie and what a mess she made of her poor little c**t. I think its because shes getting sick and grumpy that shes not out working. Does anybody elses running dogs get grumpy when season ends.

l take mine out on my push rod like i said walking does f**k all for my dog pal five mile ten mile she still comes home bouncing. But when shes out with me on the push irion she comes home having had a good morning out. She loves it first mile shes pulling me on the bike.
