Ireland Where Are All The Obedient Working Lurchers?

I am not a lurcher man but I do keep spaniels and am really looking forward to seeing the lurcher obedience. It will be good to see the people who take the time and put some effort into their working dog. Real dog men. All the best to all taking part.

Strange we go to these shows lay on a gentle man and ladies handling class there is a rimg full of men and Ladies claiming to be handlers ,Walking their dogs up and down all hoping for a wee prize for being the best at it. Where are they all now?

Interesting isn't it. Now this isn't supposed to be a challenge but just an opportunity in the small arena to do a sort of training class demo with working lurchers to let the public see them. I thought Keith the Dog Guru or 'The Victorian Poacher' could do a sort of commentary. It is not intended to embarass anyone as sometimes dogs do not perform in crowds - that is why it is in a side arena. If it goes well I would like to see it in the main arena at Shanes next year and possibly Birr this year. Apart from some suggestions what gave me the idea was a guy with two very obedient lurchers who went into Keith's training class and was quite the star of the show - he must be out there somewhere.
