Great day out for the family, im thinking of going myself one of the days

Balmoral RUAS Show - it was always a good day out at Balmoral - and it should be interesting in its new location near LIsburn May is a month which is very crowded for events in NI . We were at the Traction Engine Rally at Shanes Castle last weekend - that really is a good day out for anyone interested in the country lifestyle.

 

Then for the rest of May - Personally I am looking forward to visiting a number of events: 15th - 17th May : the RUAS Agricultural Show now in its new site near Lisburn; just down the road the Garden Festival at Hillsbough 17th - 19th May; had toyed with running my dog in the Comber Wildfowlers Test at Rosemount Saturday 18th but have decided to go to Mourne Terrier & Lurcher Show on Sunday 19th May instead.; Then we have the 'The Bread Festival' with 'Van the Man' at Castleward 25th & 26th May - great show for the family last year - fine food and entertainment - our colleagues are exhibiting there and its FREE!; Ballymena Agricultural Show 24th & 25th May - we will have a stand for our magazine and for what is shaping up to be the best ever Game Fair at Shanes Castle on the 29th & 30th JUNE - Edwin and I are doing Friday at Ballymena /Irene and Liz Saturday ; and if I have time might pop into the countryside festival on later that weekend.

well i personally faver the wine tasting section! I used to love the poultry houses ...but i will say i have seen a dramatic drop in enteries of sheep and poultry...i have been going to balmoral since i was a child and went every year never missed...but the restriction on sheep ect are getting to be a hasle for farmers and exhibitors, a friend of mine that keeps zwarble sheep has told me she no longer shows them as she needs 2 different certificates before she can move her sheep from place to place...maybe over the top...my thoughts
