Anybody Started Cutting Turf Yet.

Any body made a start yet cutting turf .ime making a start at the weekend is there much hand dug turf goes on in uk.

Ducas have stopped most of it where i am. Its a shame to see it go. their is still lads cutting even though its been banned, but the government are making it hard for them.

Not a lot of peat cutting goes on here, I think they do a bit in certain parts of Scotland but not on a large scale.. Could be wrong though..

The bog is still too wet, managed to get some of last years turf off though, ours was the last bog cut last year and it didnt stop raining after the turf was cut

 

Im not cutting any turf this year, gonna just steal it from my brother in laws bog and maybe buy a load of turf

no turf cut on the bog i use yet, this time last year i had it footed for the 2 weeks of scorching weather.

Yes, the weather is not helping, its pissing down as i speak here, ground flooded in most parts, blowing a gale, its more like january out their then may!

I think 350-400 depending on quality... This is the first time ive bought turf in years
