I'am going on Thursday to a interview as I've applied to become a retained firefighter,, (have already passed practical aptitude) :laugh:

the dress code is smart casual,, i'am wearing dressed trouser's black shoes but not sure on top half,, wear a shirt in jacket with no tie or wear just a shirt in tie or just the suit :hmm: any info yous have to smart casual dress code would be highly appreciated :yes: as i dont no what to wear :cray::thumbs:

If I were you Id wear the shirt/jacket....better overdressed than under.Two of my close mates got in as retained firefighters and both went on to full time ...good luck with the interview mate,keep us posted :thumbs: ATB Dave

Pair of light dressed trousers loake shoes / boots nice shirt if its a sunny day shirt sleeve order and a couple of squirts of aventuse by creed )

Agree with the the shirt and jacket but make sure your footwear is tidy, if they are the polishing type then give them a good shine.Fire service like the army etc have the attitude "Look after your kit and it'll look after you"

First impressions and all that.
