TwoSmokingBarrels 11
Just found this video of the explosion, its huge. What are your thoughts on what caused it guys? Because surely a fertilizer plant would be a huge target.... because of its explosive properties when mixed with the right stuff.

scothunter 12,609
lol well technically it isnt, its just bad people that use it for that purpose. I live like 2mile from the biggest refinery in the uk.used t work in it aswell.when they were building the new football stadium they had to stop building one stand as it was in the blast zone.which is bollocks really,i asked a guy in the bp once what would happen if it went up. he just laughed and said you wont know f**k all about it mate .if it goes up so will the lpg at the docks and there no enough fire engines in scotland to contend with an accident like that.

scothunter 12,609
safety is a big thing with them though.its actaully that bad you cant get on with your job.must say though the amount of good working gear you get is great lol top of the range jackets, and if a wee hole appears you get a brand new one,100quid a pop those jackets. remember a young laddie starting, hot day and he was digging a trench, tied his overalls round his waste, the bp safety boy near had a heart attack lol "where the f**k you think you are,the beach son" lol the reason you had to keep them zipped up all the time as they were fire proof, again a load of shite hahah with the heat from that if it went up,a f***ing set of overalls wont save you.
