Mooching

I seen alot on here about the recall of salukies how if you want a dog to that comes back dont get one :hmm: but surly if they where that much hard work people would not keep them :blink: i guess it all depends what your wanting from a dog beddy whippet seems to suit the lad i go mooching with handy little dog

like nothenlite said depends what you run and where you run it,, as for recall never had a problem with mine,, i think you have to be more patient with them as pups but once theyve bonded with you there brilliant. i wouldnt have it any other way now, i also think that a saluki is no good once its passed around, there a one man dog,, jmo,, cheers shaun

I agree with you shaun about being patient and them being one man dogs,i know a lad not to far from myself we have been out a few times as he was getting into ferreting so we took him along with us and he took me out with his dog on the lamp and she is saluki and she is spot on was steady as a rock and he has had her from about 7 week old :yes: so i think your right as he is a very calm steady guy himself and thats reflected in his dog

Im starting to think some saluki strains are easier to train than others... Mine was a bit of a nightmare but has improved drastically, hes definately a 1 man dog, whilst he loves people im the only one he obeys.

 

As for everyone keeping salukis... I usually keep bull x's and bitzas
