You are providing a pest/vermin control service and chickens are being taken ! What seems to be the issue ? It's as broad as it is long whatever way you decide to deal with it, that is taking away any personnal issues you may have. The final result is the same.

had hounds out on excerise last tuesday morning found two cubs about half grown so they must of been born really early end december possible

Have just seen cubs whilst out about an hour ago, found the earth & all the signs were there as well, half a dead hare, fresh pheasant carcus, magpie feathers & a robin they are eating well!!

Have had two calls to deal with problem foxes off two farmers yesterday and tonight and had two litters 3 and 4 and two vixens. Shame to dig cubs but the landowners were with me so i didnt have much of a choice or they wouldnt of wanted to see me again. About a month old

Thats exactly what he means so just do the humane thing and cull them...! Don't know why people get all sentimental the whole purpose in working terriers is to provide a service.

Old shepherd used to tell my father you'l start to have cubs on the weekend of the grand national. We had a vixen with belly stripped from suckling thursday. I wouldnt have thought they'd have been a week old.
