Chinese Rabbits

was in my town the other day, butcher selling rabbits, i asked were u get your rabbits from ?thinking she'd say some local gets them for her, i was stunned when she replied "china" lol wouldnt these be domesticated bunnies??? anyway after a bit more talking she said she'd buy gutted and skinned bunnies from a local source, ill be seeing her again once i start getting out there ,

the retard butcher near me sells "LOCAL WILD RABBITS" at a huge price of £5.50 each, i asked him who supplys him and he replied i get them from down south :blink: and pay £3 each :icon_eek: , so i said id supply him local wild rabbits at a cost of £1.50 each and he refused.......cant win with some folk.

Why ofer them at 1.50 when he's paying 3' personally I would have said 2.50,,, not that it matters cos he fecked you off

Don't think you're allowed to sell them skinned and gutted just paunched with the fur on .

she said she'd only buy them in skinned, gutted form, i dont know current regulations on selling meat like but if thats how she'd want them, then thats how she'd get them, or she wouldnt buy, i thought the carcass would be cleaner anyway skinned and gutted :hmm: feck knows,

Not sure on the exact laws but you cant take any animal with the jacket on to a butchers.........whether its deer, rabbit, hare...... :thumbs:

i think prob differnce is that chinks want good numbers of rabbits (regular) where as most here in the UK, get few but not like say 150-200 week,every week,Thats why they go for (domestic) type bred rabbits all year round, you not going to get them numbers (wild) rabbits today, even in scotland, dales, where big bags have been got, some of the numbers have dropped a bit, you only can kill thenm once .!. ive had good bags with Bryn but as like lot of lads the numbers are down here the last 6-8 years to what they were once :yes:
