in the past ive only ever had 1 pup to bring on but ive got 2 at presant 10months old . it can be hard work at times when they decide not to listen and feck off chasing each other :whistling: it all depends on how much time and effort you put into them, patiences is the key

It is possible if you really dedicate the time to them and spend time with them individually as well as together, I was tempted to keep 2 from my recent litter, but my heart wasnt really in rearing a dog, I had my heart set on 2 bitches, so I have ended up just rearing one, but Im hoping to get another pup in a few months time as one lurcher isnt enough for me as I am out all the time. I dont know how people who work find the time to train 2 pups, but some people obviously do and hats off to them :victory:

Once reared 2 lurcher pups myself. Well bred dogs, but it was very hard work getting them to school. Had to take them out seperately for the obediance otherwise they did turn a bit "deaf", more interested in what the other dog was doing ! lol

Its each to their own, but i feel you may get more out of a pup if its on its own rather than one of a pair....good luck. JD

Ive always worked on the premise that 2 are just as easy to rear as 1, but for training, I always did this seperately, but when fully set, I lamped regularly with 2 dogs on the same night to share the work load and to make comparisons, and on a few occaisons I lamped 3, not an easy feat

Aye, but it didnt happen too often I can assure you...do you heed in :D but I was a glutten for punishment in those days, and would try anything

I had a home made slip lead with a slip at both ends, and the third dogs leader was fastened around my waist. Ive even done this with 2 lurchers and one deerhound out on the same night..
