ferret15 0
OK guys your opinion please i have owned this dog for just over two years. She was a rescue and to cut a long story short she took a lot of work but has turned out to be a cracker. The question is what breeding do you think she is ? i have always assumed she was collie x Grey because her personality fits (i have owned collies all my life ) but after seeing some of your photos on here dose anyone think it might be springer x Grey?? it doesn't matter what she is as she doses the job just fine but just wondering! http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x73/ferret15/5086-1.jpg
shepp 2,285
Looks like a 3/4 grey 1/4 collie to me, nice condition
Guest SJM
What on earth makes you think springer x grey? If theres springer there I sure cant see it. It looks more like a collie or bull cross to me, the jaws look quite strong, perhaps even a bit of collie and bull as well as grey. Its hard to tell with lurchers which is why your always best to see the parents or the dam at least. If she does what you want it doesnt matter what cross she is
ferret15 0
as soon as i got her i thought collie x but different people have said different breeds from springer which i dismissed. but she looks a lot like the pic of tomos's dog which made me think. i even had someone say lab but most of the people who have given me there two cents worth were pet owners so i thought i would ask on here and see what the real world thinks edited to say i tock her in as she was gonna be put down as she was to much of a handfull for her owners who had her as a pet and worked 9-5 Edited July 22, 2007 by ferret15
Guest SJM
You can tell Tomos dog is a springer cross as it has the long ears in one of the pics, your dog has typical sighthoundy "rose" ears so I would say probably collie or bull, but its anyones guess really. Good on you for giving her a home

ginga john 268
dead ringer for a 3/4 greyhound 1/4 welsh collie that i once had, was a cracker of a dog too, but that said the dog does have a strong head so the chaps may be right about the "little bit of bully". skycat 6,174
lurcher x lurcher you could well be right there! Seriously though, a lot of Collie/Greys do have very strong heads and I've seen some that I knew for a fact were just Collie and Greyhound that you would have sworn had Bull in them. Having said that there is a drop of Bull in Greyhounds anyway!
