Ratreeper 441
How come everyday the sun shines the fields are full of people walking their dogs, but whenever it's a bit drizzly or cold you strut about all on your tod? Is this the same in your area because it puzzles me what these people expected when they got dogs in the first place, there are literally 10X the number of walkers on a warm day and there is something worrying about that. whiteracer 258
What really pisses me off is when I get ' I ve seen you 3 times today walk past, all you do is walk them dogs' ........... Thought that was one of the reasons we have dogs is to walk them come rain or shine!!!!!
pip1968 2,490
its the same everywhere people cant be arsed cleaning a dog after a walk so probably just let them out in the back garden to have a crap.but for me i love these days you hardly see anyone

There was a fella walking his staffy off the lead on my usual route yesterday, walking down the hill with two carrier bags stuffed full of shite from Sainsburys...of course his dog sprinted down the hill and there i was thinking shit Tex is going for this one so i shouted up to the chap to call it back in, he shouts "oh he's just over friendly don't worry mate" . They just sniffed, and Tex walked off which is strange of him not to want to fight with a dog...but i clipped him on the lead anyway. It went over to sniff Ruby, then growled. She yelped and next thing Tex had bowled into it and sent it rolling over in a heap. Poor thing didn't know what had hit it and it fcuked off back to it's owner for him to put it on the lead he was a bit pissed off but fcuked if i'm apologising! 'Told you so'!!! As for this thread, i prefer to go out in the pissing rain cause all the fair weather owners sit in front of the tele and out of my way

Nik_B 3,791
I want a very big scary dog that will make people avoid me when dog walking I've got a lab and I am sick of people making a beeline for me. I think people assume because he is a lab he wants to be hassled by them and have their own mutt jump all over him.
scothunter 12,609
mines has a pathological hatred of other dogs lol

Lab 10,979
spot on lab.i always avoid other dogs.it prob makes them a bit mental, not be socialised and such.but way i see it they wont pick up anything from them oh ive been in some dodgy situations with greys tearing f**k out of someones pet. The thing is there are some quite docile greyhounds.......yet when they are being walked with a more aggresive one and that one plays up it very hard to stop to dogs when theres a wee ankle biter running rings about you. Tight leads have been slackened a few times from my Dad just so the little pest gets a shake and it soon learns. He's gave up with the dogs now but the last few years he's been walking dogs muzzled and taking them places where there are very few dog walkers. Easier in the long run... scothunter 12,609
i refused to muzzle em lab.went to ireland once.left a dog with another so called duggy man. he muzzled mine and stuck it in the kennel with his 3,cause he figured mine was the stranger in the pack.never seen the end result fortunatley, but they tore that dog to bits guts spilled out the lot,and no way of defending himself.poor bugger! aye thats the mistake a lot of people make.,there docile % of the time, but they have one f***ing bad streak in them, when there in a frenzy
