Best lurcher? The man who understands his dogs and has most patients, ends up with the best lurcher.

I would prefer lurchers that have come from parents that have actually caught something and seen some work. And by work I dont mean breeding!

are these collies the ones that pick and chose there runs if so why are they the best ??? :whistling::D

think a lurcher is the best

they dont waste there energy, highly inteligent, WHY, chase something you cannot catch, or smash yourself up against a thorny hedge or barbwire,

the arguement will always be there you either like the collie x or you Hate them, for catching bunnies there hard to beat, an feather, they are not bad, for average scottish land they are not bad, with an injection of pace there not bad,, WHY they could even go down to the Fens for a kick-up, you might get two out of three with them from KICK-UPS,,, BUT ONE GRUELLER AND THAT IS IT FOR THE DAY, pack-up and go home,,,,, the mighty collie x with a bit of desert blood, :whistling: :whistling: :whistling:
