Cheap & cheerful 22lr

[The 12...3 1]

Looking for a reliable rimfire for some bunny bashing, been advised to go with a second hand ruger 10/22 seems to be a few variations about, any advice on what to look for, or any choice mods to improve what seems to be an already cheap and cheerful little gun. Also any other brands to look for in the secondhand market?

Second hand or new cz or Brno. Cannot go wrong with them.

CZ 452 is what I currently have in .22lr. Brilliant little rifle for the money. Was told to give semi auto rugers a miss as your get more feed issues with them over a bolt action?

If you do get a CZ, get a trigger kit for it also. Makes a world of difference to the pull

picked up a nice litte BRNO semi auto the other week £40 and its a cracking little gun

ruger 10/22 everytime some people say there not accurate watch some GOOD shooters on YouTube they seem to be a bit ammo fussy as there are a few ammo comparison videos.

 

but if you find the right ammo in the right gun your on a winner

there will only be feed problems now and again with sub sonic ammo.

10/22 is a gun I`ve never liked,, pain in the arse whe they DO jam, as they always will

 

get a CZ 452. Best rimmy by far

Thanks for the replys and advice lads, had a scout around, found a nice cz style on rimfiremagic.co.uk with sling, mod, trigger kit and scope for £275. Just wondering if the nickel barrel would spook bugs bunny??

Nope not really. The nickel finish looks quite cool as well.
