fitchet 788
Had a real good day today with the saluki x this dog has really been coming on these last couple of weeks has done everything I've asked of him. He's been lamping most nights so just took him out for an easy day with the ferrets and my brother. Dug 1 missed 3 but he managed 4 and picked up one on the way back to the car. Proper good day and was enjoyed by all. Really proud of my young hound. ATB. Quote Link to post

Its_grim_up_norf 577
What's the saluki been like to train. I have a mate who's got one but he said it was harder to train than the grey x bearded collie he had previous. Is this a personal experience for him, or in the breed as being a stubborn dog? There's saluki/whippets locally for sale and I was looking at them, so would like to hear your experience in what he was like to train if you could mate. Thanks for any help you can give me. Nothing like a collie x to train, totally different. Quote Link to post

Ive had 2 mate and they arnt the easiest they can be ignorant stubborn and sensitive. And imo you need alot of "dog sense" with this cross. But theres lads on here who have far more experience. Its_grim_up_norf 577
Thanks for the replies lads. Yeah that's pretty much what he said, but I wasn't sure if it was just his experience. Maybe ill try with another breed, whippet or greyhound x type of lurcher...until I gain "dog sense" and then possibly a saluki in the future as opposed to first lurcher. Thanks Quote Link to post
