Millet 4,497 Posted November 9, 2012 Report Share Posted November 9, 2012 I have a dog with demodectic and once it has surfaced on the dog it will have it for life..i have used Aludex several time's on the dog and all it does is control it..i have also used Advocate spot on and that never worked on my dog.. Marley didnt look that bad he just had it on his front leg,feet and a few other spots but nothing major.Instead of hibiscrub i used a stuff called vetasept which is exactly the same as hibi,same size bottle 500ml and its half the price.Bathed him in it twice and he's starting to look better.Im gonna give him another 2 baths in it and see how he goes from there.As well as this ive changed his diet and im adding cod liver oil and tinned fish.The question youve got to ask yourself is,is it hereditary from the parents,westys had a problem,youve had it and now ive had it.If one of the dogs had it then it would be a one off but theres 3 out the litter i now know thats had a skin problem,makes you wonder.
