gamerooster 1,179
lost nearly 50 this night not due to having a dog not that i gave a feck as they were plenty to go at and the c**ts that were keepers deserved every thing they got. i think we know who the c**t is!!!! YOU!!! be quiet boy!!!! Listen old man, if you don't want to see pictures of dead pheasants, don't come on a topic named 'Taking feather'!!! Each to there own and all that, at the end of the day, its not like keepers have to work hard to get these bird's to maturity as per usual we have moved from "one for the pot" to full blown theft. Take what's coming too you if you do it!!! theft??? its poaching...... but I have to agree, live by the sword, die by it, if you can't do the time, don't do the crime!!! But correct me if i am wrong, but thats what most men do it for, the pure devilment, because lets be honest, the price of pheasants at the game-dealers is hardly worth shooting them for!!! 1 Quote Link to post
fitchet 788
Is it really taking feather with a dog if you are shooting them? Exactly we have moved from dogs catching one or two for the pot to shooting large number at night. Quote Link to post

You can call it poaching but i dont see it that way. Poaching to me is taking wild game from a place where you shouldn't be....taking pheasants in large numbers from a keepered estate is theft to me. Someone has paid for them and for some reasons c**ts think its ok to go and take them by the bag load then they moan and greet when they get a kicking for it!!!... 1 Quote Link to post

My mate has a black lab that he half heartedly trained for shooting, its a top notch dog for catching feather, when he was younger was half decent at catching squatters on the lamp to, would be a good dog to put to a greyhound bitch as a general ratching/mooching dog Quote Link to post
steve66 3,647
Is he a full whip ? Quote Link to post
Ideation 8,216
Is he a full whip ? Yep, and he's leathal with birds, apart from my chickens. Regularly takes feather. Best has been a half dozen mature birds in a walk, either out of hedge bottoms, or snatched out of the air as they take off out of long grass. Quote Link to post
