A glimmer of hope for the rain forests?

Recommended Posts

they should be planting hemp in place of the cut down trees, it removes 4 tons of CO2 for every 1 ton removed be a regular tree/plant. plus it has a ton of uses.

Not much use for the animals that live in the rain forests though....

Sky cat i thought you were going to say cmw had gone out of print

I don't think their readership is so big as to cause that danger

Great that they are being educated, but what other people do in their own country is up to them at the end of the day. It'd be a crying shame if the rainforests of the world were gone, but I don't hold with the likes of us telling these countries that they cant cut their own forests down when we have all but wiped our own native forests off our maps.. JMO..

Difficult to dissagree with that Malt. It'll be even harder to dictate to them green living over the coming years, Brazil is set to boom and I doubt the rainforest will be allowed to get in the way of their economys progress. Let's hope they are a bit more conservation minded than Britain has been in the past.
