downsouth 8,333
blue barrels on there side, suspended of the ground with chains and a hole cut with a jigsaw for them to get in, small holes drilled in the bottom for drainage when washing out and some in the top for ventilation bit of old carpet or blanket inside for them lying on easy to keep clean and hard to chew lol(just round the entrance hole a wee bit) I tried them a few years back but found that when it got really cold i couldnt stop condesation inside to the point where the bedding was getting soaked.I ended up with so many ventilation holes trying to cure the problem that there was more holes than barrel so went back to wooden boxes. Had the same problems myself, I put a board in the bottom and drilled loads of holes under that to try and let the condensation out but the bedding still got soaked. Quote Link to post
