adamb20 22
i have bought two brandnew heat lamp bulbs in the last two weeks and they have both failed. has any body else experienced this problem or no what might be causing it. thanks?
moonlighter 1,165
Are they too low and the dog knocking them? I use low energy lamps. 175 watt which are equivalent to 250 watt. In 2 years I've only replaced 1 bulb in 2 lights. Other than that your just probally unlucky as there is nothing in a light fitting that can make a bulb blow.

A loose/bad connection in a light fitting will cause bulbs to blow. Cheers.
moonlighter 1,165
It won't mate. Unless its constantly flickering but then you would see that straight away. Only excess voltage or a leak in the coolant gas can blow a filimant lamp.
