So at least 5 week wait! But spoke to them today and have just got a falcon fn19 raptor lighthunter in and will do for same price! Plus it redy to take away tomorrow any suggestions on what is beter gun and what you would choose? Any advice appreciated , thanks Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
The Falcon will have less ongoing problems. Would not be Redbeck would it? Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
The Falcon, no doubt about it I like the S16 but out of the two there is no contest (especially against the S16 mk1) Tony Quote Link to post
Froudy 40
The Falcon is a good gun ATB Froudy Quote Link to post
neil82 1,088
out of the box (or unsorted )it would have to be the falcon, much more sorted design, but at the end of the day if the logun has been fixed you would have to try them both and see which one suits you better, if there was a perfect gun for everybody they would all be the same, thats why there are so many shapes, sizes and designs to choose from 1 Quote Link to post
mattybugeye 885
Yea good point! , and not redbecks its from Aaron wheelers , well am finishing work early to go have a look and decide am leaning towards falcon raptor now as heard nothing but good things about them ! And going out lamping tonight so will get a good test! Cheers all ! Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
Hint for you Matty, see if you can get Wheelers to send the S16 to Redbeck to be fixed, the God of Logun, one Jim Hogan works there, the man who designed the damned thing! Or see if you can find out what is wrong get a price from Redbeck to fix it, then knock it off the asking price at Wheelers. Hang on, better advice, get money back and buy elsewhere, his price for secondhand guns is more than people want for new ones of exactly the same make and model! I use the following rifle to illustrate my point! http://www.aaronwhee...s-s410-classic/ http://www.southyork...r-rifle-2-p.asp Negotiate well and you should get a new scope and rifle combo for the price they want on a secondhand one! mattybugeye 885
Yea thanks for advice secretagentmole ! Well I went to pick falcon raptor up and it seemed to of vanished! Drove miles through traffic so was not happy long story short I ended up leaving with a mk1 bsa super 10 , took lamping last nite and really wasn't for me kinda had my heart set on logun or lighthunter, so rang him again this morning and he said bring it back and logun will be redy Tue for me! So saved a massive wait for the gun I originally wanted think as was dealing with 2 diff members of staff there was a major commications break down so was pissed off but supose getting my completly rebuilt and serviced logun s16 a lot sooner than expected and not cost me any more money as he did bsa at same price and to be fair to him a cracking deal ! Really looked after me! Got free gun bag pellets and a lot beter scope! Result I think Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
Could be a result, remember if you have any problems with the S16 after the warranty has expired, for crying out loud take it to Redbeck, lay it at the feet of Jim Hogan and plead for his divine attention" Quote Link to post
