national trust.

Just wondering if anybody ever gets permision to ferret or even other methods of hunting/pest contol on national trust land? I ask because I a trip to the inlaws caravan a few weeks back which is surounded by fields owned by the national trust and they are absolutly heaving with rabbits! I was tempted to ask a ranger that was patrolling about maybe doing some ferreting some time over the winter once the site is closed for the season but was in a rush so passed on the oppotunity which led me to ask on here what people thought? The people who own the caravan site is more than happy for me to ferret there once the site is closed for winter as the rabbits run and burrow on there land also so its doing them a favour but I nedd to talk to the ranger and have a chat with him. Don't want to be greedy and take massive numbers just the odd few every couple of months that we're down there ;) and like I said the place is heaving big time so if I get the permision it maybe a chance to invite a few other lads and get to no a few people :) atb lads

I have a special licence from the NT to ferret a fair area, it is pest control and there are limitations in place and you need valid insurance etc.
