Guest cookiemonsterandmerlin
I grew up on a dairy farm its one most fun and dangerous places to work and grow up I look back now and think some of funniest things happen there but it could of been so diffrent if something had gone wrong. The worst was after the storm of 87 we lossed huge beech trees I was very young working with a knowlegdeable guy he was doing a cut on a beech 4 foot wide the b*****d tree stood up as the top weight dropped off and the root system was heavier though the chainsaw over his shoulder and caught in the back of his chainsaw trousers ATB Cookie

Guest cookiemonsterandmerlin
I think it shows that some of us take part in jobs that are inherently dangerous I climb trees for part of living . What happens is when you think you good at a job and become complacment on the dangers . Life is precious and can be taken away from you in instance . Cookie

DIDO.1 22,865
slurry pits give me the willies! I visit a lot of farms and see some shocking ones, no fences and grass growing over them, cant help but picture a lad running on one thinking it was solid. Not good.
