the night hunter 130
just a reminder (like you need it) your dogs have been relativly safe through the summer but now the winter is fast approaching the scum fuckkers will be looking for some dogs the take for the winter. in my experience. next two months will be the time most go missing or the scummers will start scouting about. be extra vigilent............ 5 Quote Link to post

Born Hunter 17,910
For those of you that have had dogs stolen or attempted thefts, what time of day were the thefts made? Was it while you were at work or at night? I really do think some sort of national survey should be done to help determine trends and where theft hotspots are etc and what security measures were in place. It'll help people know what to do to help prevent dog thefts. Quote Link to post

That's what I suspected. No one will bat an eyelid to someone fumbling around durring the day, probably assumed to be just workmen or a window cleaner etc. At night though it would be assumed they are up to no good. Plus at night people are in the house where as during the day they are usually at work. I wonder how many people with relatively secure yards (6ft solid fence/wall, heavy duty locks and fittings etc) and possibly even cameras still suffer from thefts. Quote Link to post

mally 832
I've installed a full CCTV system that records 24/7 onto a dvr drive. I've 3 covert camera's and a large on at the side of the house thats white and you can see it from the next street!!. Since it's been fitted i've not had anyone knocking on the door asking for scrap etc. You still have to be aware though if the b*****ds want your dog they will do all they can to get it, The old saying 'Man made it man can break it comes to mind' you just have to make it as difficult as you can 4 Quote Link to post
