zini 1,939
If you want to do HFT or FT and have the extra money for charging kits ect I would say the majority of today's shooters would go straight to a PCP for the ease of its super accuracy and the recoilless feel. The AA S410 is a brilliant rifle and I was out with one last weekend testing one in .22 and even though I didn't show it on a recent clip I put on YouTube I filmed myself shoot a pellet on pellet group at 30 yards that DavyT63 dug out with his knife and it was 1 lump of lead . I also watched Davy shoot a 5 shot group at a lased 50 yards where 4 of the .22 pellets were covered by a 5p piece . If you want a rifle where you have no worries about having to re charge it, and you want a springer as good as it can be then I would go for a SFS HW97KT or a SFS HW95K and get it tuned to stage 1 or 2 by Tony Wall. A rifle tuned by him will also shoot pellet on pellet and make 1 lump of lead groups at 27 yards. It will also group WELL under an inch at 50 yards in calm conditions and matched with the right pellet. Since getting mine back after its stage 2 tune I haven't used any of my PCP s at all in the day time and its now the first rifle I reach for. Si. 1 Quote Link to post

After seeing zini's video of his visit to SFS I knew my next springer was going to be from there. I was already in the market for a new springer and opted for the 95k. I just live break barrels. Anyway the other day I was shooting bottle tops off a plank of wood at 60 yards with my new SFS hw95k stage 1 tuned. That's accuracy, I'm not even that a good a shoot either. Quote Link to post

Davy as just had his TX200 SFS-ed and the magic of Tony Wall imparting on it after Davy reported a suspected error in its accuracy. It didn't take Tony long to find the various errors report them back to us and give us his plan of attack to get it back to better than it was when brand new . I think that soon Davy will be out more with his new work of art TX . Si. Quote Link to post
milegajo 595
The Hw97k is the Hw100 of the spring gun class in my eyes rivalled only by its stablemates. The tx200 is an excellent tribute to the 97, the s510 a similar story for the 100. Happy the be disagreed with though as i've not handled an s510. Quote Link to post
salop sniper 32
If your feeling really rich get one of each ! LOl I love my PCP as its multi shot so a follow up shot is easy and quick, plus some of my shooting is seated from a car so its easier handling a PCP from a car seat through a window IMO. How ever if i was staring out again i would struggle to choose esp as Si and Davey show how good springers can be ! and will save you money in the long run ! As I already have 2 x shotguns, 1 x rimfire, 1 x FAC PCP and 1 X sub 12ftlb air rifle the Mrs would loop the loop if i added a springer to the collection ! Although maybe in 12 or 18 months I may be brave enough / stupid enough to get a springer but it would also mean a bigger safe !lol Quote Link to post

You're not wrong Mike, although some of the HW toffs would say that the older pre 1987 (may be slightly out on the year) 25mm piston HW77 has the edge over the 26mm HW97K.. I'm happy with my PCP/Springer combo anyway! Quote Link to post
