bass fishing over the last week

well the weve had the inlaws staying at are for the last week. so this only means one thing.im getting out of the way and going fishing

 

im not one for catching decent fish . my mate that normally comes with me seems to get them .

 

well untill this week. my pb bass was only 4lb. still over the moon with that but

a few days ago i decided to go fishing at about 2am . got down there set up and whack a nice 7.2lb bass . over the moon wasnt the words

i was buzzing. .

 

the next night i thought i would try again. all the small schooleys have seemed to have dissapered

and another fine bass of 4.5lb

 

i still cant beat my luck as i broke my pb 2 nights running. .

ill get the mrs to upload some pics of the fish .

Never done any sea fishing, would like to have a go for bass, but with lure's, look's good fun, heard they really hit them hard, them size's you have just had sound great fun, keep at it.

I'm going bass fishing for the first time Wednesday night with my cousin. He does competitions and welsh champion. Won in Italy last year. So hopefully will get my first bass. Taking me to his best mark. He has collect the peeler crabs from his traps ready.

I would like that, sound's a good idea but i imagine it must be hard, or are they not that far out, i think flies would be lure pattern's is that right.

Yes billy i use sand eel and crab flys...most sea angling shops sell them....also if your in rocky ground you dont need to cast far....my biggest on fly was 9lb 6oz

9lb 6 nice fish. I would just like to catch my first. Would be great to get a nice size one.

I went last night with my cousin and not only caught my first bass, I had 5 all over 3lb and my cousin caught 11. Looks like its gonna be a good summer.

I'm off down to pembroke in the next couple of weeks for a weeks hols, are there any decent bass spots down there, and if so where do you recommend. I'll be a few miles from Tenby.

Peeler crab mate. At Llandulas north wales just as it was going dark on low water and rsising tide.
