is it possible that with the eurozone crisis and many european countrys in a very bad way economicaly we could see a war between european countrys,or more likely a civil war in a country like greece possibly between left and right wing political groups?

Can't see it mate. The best thing for Greece would be to go tits up and exit the euro IMO.. It was always a long shot for them and the rest of the med countries to stand on an equal ecconomic footing with industrial countries like Germany without a drastic, Europe wide redistribution of industries. Spain or Italy will be next I reckon..

 

If I was Greek I'd be pissed off listening to Merkel and co dictating terms, and I fully expect the Greeks to stick two fingers up at them at the next elections by voting in the anti bailout parties.

 

I've been following it all with interest. The French one is one to watch too. If they can get theirselves moving without drastic austerity measures, we'll know it can be done. If they make a mess of it we'll know that what we're doing now is the right thing.

I don't blame Germany malt. Greece lied And fiddled the figures to get into Europe, as they saw it as a cash cow.

 

Very easy to blame Germany, who lets face it are the only ones who took this credit crunch seriously And for saw what was gonna happen.

I think it's just sour grapes, the Germans didn't get hit to hard so they get blamed and looked on with distrust. Never mind Greek folk pussed off if I was a German I'd be pissed off more. Bailing nations out And getting bad mouthed for it. Maybe the Germans will understand how we feel when we're treated exactly the same way.

IMO the Greeks should never have joined the Euro in the first place and if I remember correctly, the Germans were never keen on them joining in the first place. I don't blame the Germans for the mess either, was just saying countries like Greece, Spain, Italy, etc were never going to keep pace with them on an equal footing and this mess was always destined to happen.

Totally different situation in the former Yugoslavia mate.. The Greeks have sorted their cultural and ethnic differences out over thousands of years!

Let's be honest, as has been said we tend to forget who's to blame.

Yes Greece lied to join the Euro, however it wasn't the people who did, yet now it's the people who are suffering. Most jobs are €500 a month if you're lucky, and a hospital appointment costs €100.

Look at the scenes in Madrid last week... Ordinary citizens are very pissed off. I don't believe anyone gave the banks (Private companies with private profits) authorisation to play God with our lives, by taking whatever risks they felt necessary to make profit for their own ends.

We, as a sovreign nation, have the ability to produce our own currency.

Instead, we choose to buy it from banks WITH INTEREST, so it's a gamble as to whether we can even pay it off in the first place!!!!!

To be honest, i think most folk with some kind of clue at the time, very much expected a war in the former yugoslavia.

 

But i concur that i would rather hve them on my side, well the bosnians anyway, than the brits. I've played paintball against yugoslavians in a bombed out sarajevo tower block, it got emotional, it hurt.
