Born Hunter 17,977
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-latin-america-17946838 They really are getting desperate now! Disresptecting a war memorial of all things! I wonder if they would be quite so daring as to fly one of their air force jets over the islands.... or perhaps even their entire air force for the little more effort it would take from us in response. That would be a propaganda film I wouldn't mind seeing the result of.
Malt 379
Just read that myself, piss taking b*****ds. They're getting desperate because other nations round them are starting to distance themselves from their attempts to get them onside.. Maybe we should do a nice little compilation of a few Eurofighters flying over Buenos Aires to highlight our recent olympic security measures...

It's the british way to stand tall, mature and not get drawn into these pathetic little games, but f**k me is it hard when they're that f*****g cheeky. They're acting like the little gobshite in the playground thinking he's 2ft taller than he really is. Yeh, the typhoons going super sonic over BA sounds good. perhaps also we could surface HMS Astute in their harbour flying a falklands flag, have a cup of tea on the deck and then feck off with a video of our own..... Oh no, that might be construed as an act of war............. f**k EM!

Born Hunter 17,977
Need to buy the uk a carrier first lol We don't need a carrier, Argie military would'nt get near enough to the islands for us to need a carrier to take them back. And the best bit is, THEY KNOW IT. Besides, we have a decent Heli carrier in HMS Ocean and HMS Illustrious has been converted into an active Heli carrier to.......... Thats a f**k load of Westland Apaches and Chinooks for a ground assault. Add to that our type45 air defence destroyers (one being capable of shooting down the entire Argie AF!), our nuclear powered subs for launching tomahawks and special forces and a whole lot more. I don't think anyone even considers another military conflict even thinkable?
Malt 379
Need to buy the uk a carrier first lol Don't even need one to pester the Argies mate, got a squadron of Eurofighters permanantly based on the islands!

Every single one of ours is navalised and capable of being launched from a carrier.

It'd be like swating disabled flies! I had to laugh when they reported it to the UN as "British militarisation of the islands"...... of course we are militarising the islands! 30 years ago a bunch of dirty scumbags invaded them and once again they are getting lairy about wanting them back...... what the f**k are we supposed to do? LOL

scothunter 12,609
Don't know Lads. I still reckon s carrier would be needed. Well for a conventional war anyway. Yes we could kkep giving them a slap with drones and smart bombs, but you need air support if your gonba put boots on the ground.
gonetoearth 5,144
We have a squadron of typhoons based there scot and a run way protracted by ground to air missiles it would take more than the argies to take it on , astute is on station too , a carrier group is not sustainable for long periods , and is not nessersary as we have the land , The sabre ratterling is due to the argies are in the shit once again and the falkland are a distraction. That's all ,
