A walk with some digging dogs.

Recommended Posts

Had a walk today, same as every day, a couple of hours spent in the rain / over cast conditions, scaring pheasants and running the odd bunny to ground. Had my lad, and two kennel guests with me today. Not many photos as the conditions were shit. Two old dogs ran something to ground that they decided to trench out as well, but i pulled them away before they got more than a couple of feet down.

Cheers all!

Jay - I've been meanng to call you for weeks lol! The pup is mad, she is long all over. What's impressive is her abilty to over come obstacles, no fence, gate or anything stops her, she is over or through it, no probs, same with thick cover, no problem, and she is marking, and hunting scent all ready. Retrievng s going well, and recall is great. If she would just leave the other dogs a lone for 5 mins we would be all good!

RD - It's obviously very early days, but i would say, from watching her that she is shaping up well for the day work side of things, she knows what her nose is for, follows scents, and has entered cover and bolted rabbits, and marks. She is agile like a cat. With regard to night work, ive no idea, but i will say, she has endless stamina, and is fast as feck.
