gnasher16 31,379 Posted April 27, 2012 Report Share Posted April 27, 2012 (edited) Been a sad few years for London boxing losing a number of big names.....topped off last night by Terry Spinks.....being in an Olympic year thats being held less than a mile from where he grew up......and what with Terry being Britains youngest ever Olympic champion the timing of his death is almost eerie.......He boxed out of West Ham boys club and won an aba title as well as Olympic gold. Met Terry a number of times he was friends with my father,lovely fella and great fun to be around......another one of the old school gone....but certainly not forgotten.
