I weld hydraulic oil tanks for one company another bloke weld oil tanks for another company in the same group in fact we have the same boss its just that we are 50 miles apart do we have a right to the same pay and benefits ? Or that has been the case in the last place I worked, some people were getting 9k a year more than others and ironically they were the ones that were shittest at the job. robbo 879 Posted April 25, 2012 Report Share Posted April 25, 2012 i would think ratreeper is right mate. i have worked at several places where you had three or more levels of pay for the same job.some depended on when you joined the company others on how how much shit you had on the end of your nose, but i dont think you can do much about it nowadays as you will have agreed a rate of pay when you started and they can hold you to it. 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Saying that if they value you or you'd be hard to replace then you can sometimes 'blackmail' them into giving you more money by threatening to leave.
