Ireland Launch of Ballywalter Game and Country Living Fair 5th & 6th May 2012

The day commenced at beautiful Ballywalter House, Co Down, the venue for the launch of the “ Ballywalter Game & Country Living Fair “ 2012, to be held on 5th and 6th May at Ballywalter Park. This promises to be a great 2 day Game and Country Fair, with carriages, vintage vehicles, costumed players, traditional falconry, vintage angling, muzzle loading shooting, Victorian archery displays, Top Dog show and Racing, and Flavour Magazine Fine Food Festival. The Food Festival, based in the Victorian courtyard at Ballywalter, will bring together an eclectic mix of producers from the region, allowing visitors to sample and buy some of the finest food and drink available in Ireland. These will be from handmade preserves and local whiskey to artisan cheese and savoury salads. Of course the fair will step forward as well as back with some great up to date attractions including top game fair competitions and a wealth of other displays and exhibits.

 

The beautiful surroundings of Ballywalter Park, and continual hum of the wonderful wild life it shelters in its many trees and shrubs, enhanced the enjoyment of to day. The sun shone in abundance, and the cameras were continually clicking, making sure every moment was captured as it happened. I met many friends and acquaintances from the Canine fraternity, along with their beautiful Canine companions and also made some new friends from other Country sporting events.

 

May I take this opportunity of thanking Lord and Lady Dunleath & “The Directors of the Great Game Fairs of Ireland “ Especially Albert J & Irene Titterington for the beautiful lunch after the photo shoot in the “Wildfowler Inn “ Greyabbey. It was so much appreciated by all.

 

Ballywalter Game & Country living Fair on the 5th & 6th of May will be two great days out for the whole family with something for everybody. Pencil these dates into your dairy now, and come along to what promises to be two great family days out. Hope to see you all there.

Racing is Sunday as well. We are starting the show at 11.00am sharp to get the racing over earlier.
