Vidush 0
Dear friends, I am a new member on this site. But I have been reading a lot of post from this site. I would like to know your views on HW97k vs. HW80k. (I am aware that hw80k is a magnum airgun while hw97k is medium powered airgun and many people don't like to compare these two airguns, but my question is related to hunting) So, which one would you prefer purely for hunting. Kindly help! Quote Link to post
8shot 192
both rifles are about the same power 12ft/lb.. and both are spot on for hunting Quote Link to post
stealthy1 3,964
HW97 for me 1 Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
My best favourite springers are AA ProSport and the HW97KT. Just awesome Si. Quote Link to post
Lewis Ste 245
Depends on your countries legal limit here it's sub 12ft/lb so really there just as good as each other but the 97k abit accurater because of fixed barrel but the do do the in fac (more powerful) model but you could probably tune both to be more powerful Lewis 1 Quote Link to post
StevoSmith 147
In uk both are full power...great rifles the both of them....but 97k is better in my eyes.... Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
What exactly is a "Magnum" air gun? All rifles (magnum or not) need to have less than 12 ft/lbs muzzle energy for them to be legal without requiring a Fire Arms Certificate in England, Scotland and Wales. So it all depends on which rifle you feel is the best for you Tony Quote Link to post
Skot Ruthless Teale 1,701
i love my 97kt. and the 97 i had a few years ago. my mate had 3 's and i didnt like any of them, its down to personal preference really mate. both will do the same job very well and there isnt much between them accuracy and power wise.. so pick each one up and handle it and whichever you like most go ahead and make a purchase Quote Link to post
milegajo 595
HW97 but a biased vote as I have no experience of the HW80... Quote Link to post

Ideally I'd hang onto the MK3. Or HW97k. Or MK2...correction, ideally I'd fart money and keep ALL OF EM MWAHAHAHHAHAHAHA 1 Quote Link to post
Skot Ruthless Teale 1,701
i had s200 with 10 shot conversion, and s410k both .22 few years back only 2 pcps ive had they wer both amazing and not much between them accuracy wise. infact id probly rate the 200 better and i only paid about half as much as i did for the 410!! stil great choice but if i was you id deffo try keep hold of one of the springers good luck anyway Quote Link to post
milegajo 595
The only gun i'd let the mk3 go for is the HW100. I'm % sure...50%.....i'll shut up Quote Link to post
