.50 calibre load

Are you looking at getting a 50 The Duncan? Although great fun to shoot I would rather the the .408 Cheytac or the .416 Barratt. I think both have somewhat better potential for precision at longer ranges. Having said that, if you are wanting to shoot something with this much energy up North, you are rather limited unless you have your own playground.

Totally agree with above however I just love the .50 because its BIG B) . I reload for my dads WW11 Boys anti tank rifle, rebarrelled in .50 using Milsurp cases (be careful depriming) and pulled milsurp 690gr fmj's. I use 223gr of lovex d100. Not sure how I'd fare in the long range accuracy stakes, probably crap but ive got my reloads down to about £1.40 a pop (or BANG if you like). Good or bad, I dont really care, we just have great fun with it :boogy:.

Shot the Cheytac a few times now and imo better than the .50 barret, or AW 50, for long range accuracy, again both of which I have used.

As to .50 cal loads, there are some specialist coco clubs around the country that may give you good advice.
