the_stig 6,614
malt -- when i bought mine you could`nt sell on -- within 3 year or you lost your discount i had my mortage with the council and you could go in a pay lumps off if you wanted That's better than the system round here then pal. Folk were buying their houses for under £50k then because of the location (seaside holiday town in a national park with sky high prices) they were going straight on the market for £150k+.. Like I said, I hold nothing against those who chose to do it, I probably would have given the choice but it's got that bad they've all but suspended the right to buy round here completely. Now nobody of a lower income gets a chance at owning their own homes and private rents have gone though the roof. it was a long while ago when i bought mine it was a case of if you did`nt buy you got left behind .. thrs an old raf base out near newark witch had 100s of houses goin to ruin dont know whats become of it now but what a waste if i could do the link i`d put the photos up .. -------------- just googled it new housing ....... would that be newton or swinderby? newton --
