Gutting rabbits easily

I saw this on youtube last week and didnt think it would work but im pleased to say it works very well, I went out last night and had 2 rabbits gutting them both like this, And it is really as easy as it looks. I opened the rabbits up when i got home and all that was left was the heart and abit of the endtrail i would defo recommend it for the speed of it! cheers brent

I have seen this type of gutting before,but have never tried it,after he has explained it so well, I think I may try it?

the rest is how I do my rabbits for the table too! slicing the back of the rabbit is much more faster than most other conventional ways!

now thats a better way to do it,next time i get a rabbit i will have ago cheers for that info.

I prefer the 'table top whack method'.

 

1 - Place the rabbit on a flat surface (such as a table top, but any will do).

 

2 - Hit rabbit as hard as you can with a large wooden mallet, somewhere round the middle.

 

3 - Clean up.

Only that it can be hard on your wrists if you have a lot of rabbits to do, could be i just have girly wrists though.
