stormyboy 1,352
Please clarify something. Are some saying that training a dog to a high standard of obedience ruins the dog as a hunter? Quote Link to post
2.8 guy 403
i first met harry at nostle priory show he was judging he gave me praise about my dogs achievement and give me first place, it wasnt till chatsworth did i realise who or how good he was after a few years of knowing him i new he was the real deal, i dont blow smoke up folks arxse that dont deserve it, a true legend a good mate, allthoe ive not seen or spoke in ages at least HM entered running types, not the collie saturated stuff some were putting up.mr.millwards Rosie was cgxbg if memory serves. yes the dog i last saw him with was bull greyhound collie grey hound he gave his old dog away to sandra i think he went off the strait collie x and said you couldnt push them too hard as for him getting rid of dogs i carnt comment but i can on my own experience and it goes like this no one likes to go backwards so its hard when youve had a realy good dog a bench mark then you take somthing out that doesnt cut the mustard it doesnt stay long i had a really good dog fran a half x cattle dog i bred some pups out of her to a collie greyhond kept it 18 months the dog wasnt a patch on its mother and i couldnt live with it i gave it to a keeper friend best dog hes ever owned but not good enough for me its that old saying the donkey thats eaten the carrot! whin 463
stormy boy all depends on how high you call well trained etc as some dogs are not cut out to be robots or youll never ever get a dog like that to the obeidece standard of some dogs , Quote Link to post
