Those carrera bikes from halfords seem to be well spec'd for the price. I'm going to have a look down halfords before I make myself 100% of the specialized

they are pal seen the same spec on chris boardmans ,treks ,etc etc i spent well over £1500 on that cheerydabomb and payed £450 for my carrera and they hardly no difference but its the same with anythink you can spend as much as you like the list is endless

:wallbash: Not another mountain biker  When you do go out for a ride, please follow the law :rtfm: and stick to the roads or bridle paths! I am sick to death of telling thick cu*t riders to Fu*k off riding over shoot land and that a footpath or green lane is not for bikes to play on, and nine times out of ten they reply but it says public on the sign :duh: yes it does you retard but the other word says footpath! the clue is in the word footpath as to what you can do on this piece of land. :wallbash:

Rant over.

it all depends what your into ive had 3 marins an east peak, alpine trail and the mount vision and snaped all 3 frames when raceing. then i got a sun cant remember what type but was a good bike they dont make them any more.

then i got my pace frame and bilt it up i put mavic d521 dh pro drims with dt spokes and hope biguns hubs with panracer dh pro tyers, tripple tryangle bars, raceface stem and racerace 3 pice crank with dmr v12 peddles. had hope 4 pot brakes with lightning disks, bommer z1 dropoff forks then i had a derailer of a racer it was very small i think it was a shimino 9236 or somthing like that best thing i ever put on it and i had used the lot lx,xt,xtr and non of them were as good as it.and an xtr shifter.

if i were you i would build your own you will end up with a much better bike dmr are making some good frames at the moment.and good prices too.

this is the frame after i had it sprayed. witch is the only part i have left as ive sold the rest.
