regged or not to reg

Recommended Posts

was wondering if there is any other benefits apart from more shots with a gun being regged, its a huntsman classic, and just wondering if its best left alone or would it just enhance the rifle even more...and roughly how much would i be looking at ? atb rob :drinks:

I suppose a reg is never a bad thing for any rifle mate that's why so many top brand gun makers use them as standard but I wouldn't of thought that it would benefit you really much with that rifle mate as it has a good shot count and it will be pretty consistent as it is.

I'm not sure what the Daystates have in them as standard but they don't sell rubbish.

For a rifle with a low shot count (Ultra) or that isn't very consistent then its defo going to benefit from a reg.

I've just had my mrs Ultra Tench regged and the hammer played with and changed by Phil from this forum and the shot count as more than doubled and is a lot more consistent.

HI Rob

if you are going into HFT then I would say yes!

but if you are just hunting with it then no!

besides I am not sure if the huntsman needs regulating, its a excellent rifle!

and you should be very proud to own one (sorry i have a sweet spot for em!)

leave it be and just enjoy it as it is

regards

Davy

im more than happy with it and all that i was just wondering what people thought on the idea..the daystate or as you like to put it gaystate lol owners club has a download how to polish the slingshot device to make it a smoother rifle :/ i dont know whether to believe this or not , unless its like you said for FT reasons, anyway thanks for the replies , i got that form all written up in my name, just for the printing out and sending off now, thanks again. Any pcp that is regged , will not have the ' power curve ' of an unregged action . You hear of the ' sweet spot' which is where the un regged action peaks in performance , before dropping off in power and POI . A regged action does exactly what it says on the tin and regulates the pressure used for each shot , making each one the same . This takes out the power curve altogether , and increases the shot count . It gives each shot the same 'reliability' . Buster
