digger. 615
an all rounder means different things to different people, i use my lurchers for every aspect of hunting i do, from daywork, bushing, lamping, roost shooting, beating, rough shooting, ratting, they have taken everything that can be found where i live, but do i class them as allrounders? well they are for what i do, but wouldnt neceserely be an all rounder to somebody else that did things i dont. if that makes sense makes perfect sence Quote Link to post

Guest born to run1083
Is there really a true alrounder out there. It's a myth. I would love to see a true alrounder as to me it would have to take every quarry and speciey out there night and day and do all aspects of hunting. I would love to see one. With dogs it's horses for courses you might get a pix a mix type that can do most but not the whole spectrum that to me isn't an alrounder Quote Link to post

morton 5,369
I saw an advertisement for a dog for sale "18 month old good allrounder",that was an over optimistic owner, buyer as well perhaps. It takes many seasons of dedicated work and training to consider a dog an allrounder, even then between different owners and areas of the country, the same ideals of the allround lurcher will have different meanings.
