is there a need for such big lumps?,genuine question what they gonna achieve any better compared to shall we say the size of your average jill id think they lay up regular and be fecking nightmare with the nets,certainly not for me,but im often wrong

I use only jills myself mate but then again I don,t use locators, to much killing in with big hobs for my style of ferreting but I went out with a mate who takes a hob along, very handy for when the bunnys are being stubborn as feck and taking the piss, get the hob oot and if he doesn,t bolt them he usualy kills them, oot with locator and a dig, increases the bag so they can be very handy at times in certain situations

Here he is........................he was around 10yr old in the pic,and he made it to 12yrs,he dragged a hell of a lot of rabbits out of buries,he just used to back out with a mouthful of face!

Big hobs are good when you just want the rabbit dead asap, or when you have big old warrens and a big, stinky hob puts the fear of god into them. I use two medium sized hobs (but much bigger than my jills) called Chunk and Bear. And i have to say, i've never seen rabbits bolt so quick.
