hellyer189 93
i was out the other day with my lightforce and i havent rewired it so has the standard fitting connections ect and it stopped working, i quickly found the fault to be a snapped wire so i did what i though would have been a quick bodge job and connected the wires back up, flicked the switch no light!! so checked the fuse on the battery and the bulb both fine, any one no what it could be? simonrocco 175
try stripping a bit of wire back if the copper wire has gone a black colour then the wire is knackered and you'll have to rewire the whole thing its happened to me twice atb with it

JohnGalway 1,043
I done a thread someplace here about taking a scope mounted LF apart and completely rewiring it. Should still be knocking around. There was photos with it as well but they may be gone as I changed about my Photobucket account, but if you find the thread I can replace them. I went into a car shop and told the guy I needed two core cable to light up a 100W bulb from a 12v whatever amp battery and told him what length I wanted. Done the whole thing myself and it's been great since. Best thing you can do is get rid of the cable and all connections and do up your own properly.

paulus 26
could be were the wires go into the bulb holder there only held in by springs no solder, you have to unscrew the big reflector housing off then drill the pop rivit out to get at them
jayjay 264
nothing worst than your lamp packing in on a night out, especially if you've travelled a fair way....... with regards to these lightforce lamps playing up and the wiring being shoddy,i must be lucky......,because i've had my lightforce striker about 2 or 3 seasons now,and i havent had a problem with it yet.........and i use mine alot....i've probably jinksed myself now saying that... you would have thought that when they manufacture these lamps that they would have sorted problem out by now, because there have been enough complaints about them....,and they're not exactly a cheap lamp for what they are. cheers, jay. Fat-Ferret 857
Isnt it funny how the words "Lightforce" and "Wiring" always come together!
