Country Joe 1,411
Decided to go for a short mooch with my young Whippet and this years Hob kit, left the Jill at home, this was his first time out, bolted one rabbit, then tried him in a bigger Warren, where he bolted another, but it slipped the net, he then went back in, I knew he was at a rabbit, but could hear nothing pure Peat, but I couldn't get a mark, although he was with a Rabbit he kept moving, and returned with claws covered in fur, a more experienced Ferret would have stayed with the rabbit, but well pleased with him. Going out tomorrow, on to some good ground, plenty Rabbits and open burys, so the two Kits should get some work, also pleased with seven month whippet starting to use his nose in a more positive way, marked one bury. Country Joe 1,411
Out today for three and half hours, ended up with four Rabbits, young kits doing well, but could do with hob to hang on and stay, had three non bolters, but couldn't get a mark, he is a decent size, but keeps moving, so difficult to get down and dig, as marks were three feet, not wanting any stick ups, but it does help, if they stay, should come with experience.
