Internet Evidence?

Recommended Posts

There's quite a lot said on here about people incriminating themselves by posting about doing things that break the law. I was just thinking, if you had a profile that clearly stated a load of bollocks, surely that would invalidate everything else you posted in the eyes of the law? For example....I'm a 34 year old English bloke living in North Wales with a dog and two ferrets.....if on my profile I put that I'm a 99 year old woman from Nigeria living in a hut at the top of Ben Nevis who successfully hunted the loch ness monster at the weekends with my team of mermaids, surely if I then also posted that my dog caught a fox they couldn't completely ignore all the blatant bullshit and take that one statement as gospel?

Obviously you wouldn't want any attention drawing to yourself, even if it was something that couldn't be proven...so even so it's not worth dropping yourself in it in any way, shape or form. But do you see what I'm saying? anyone can post anything on the internet, and when you look at some sites and some things that are posted there are millions of bullshitters on the internet! so how can they put any weight on what you say happened on here or any other website for that matter, you could just say you're messing about!

Anyone know anything about criminal law to comment?

Lab, I meant for someone to comment who might have studied criminal law....not someone who got put on a register as a result of a criminal law!

Makes me laugh the way some people go on forums thinking that because they're on the Internet they are invisible and can say literally anything they want.

I have no doubt the police would know exactly where and from whom the posts are coming from if they wanted to look.

As for how they would make a certain crime stick I don't know but after all that's their job.

fact is you can be found in about 1 min of them trying  (usually quicker), I know this only to well as I work with vunerable young people and have seen mr plod open up so called private accounts on facebook etc in seconds and then go onto find several other forums the person used and further to that they traced an adress of a person they where communicating with as well, it cetainly wised me up, I asked the lad about 'internet security' he just laughed and said ' no such thing mate' even them swirl things peeeps use to cover faces can be reversed asap, dates on pics etc cannot be removed  once its there its there forever, he even said people had burned harddives to escape prosecution but 9 times out of ten they can still read em :icon_eek: his last words where 'if you even think we can do it, the we can definately do it and likely will have been able too for years ............ food for thought maybe

My old man has been involved in a few notable cases and in EVERY single one of them most of the so called " Evidence" has been provided by the accused when interviewed or photographs from mobiles computers etc EVERY scrap of information you provide is then given a twist by one of their "EXPERTS" and big Bubba will ruv you rong time Johnny! Do not give any information other than your name address and date of birth give a no comment interview until you have spoken to a specialist soliciter. They say you were coursing hares you say I was'nt we were after rabbits You've just admmited you were on that ground They say you (singular) you say we (plural) you just gave them evidence to use against your mate.Thats how easy it is for them to build a case against you these people are trained to use the English language which in legal terms must be exact so bare that in mind do'nt say we were just -----

They will use it against you. YIS.
