First salmon.

My youngest son Brodie got his first salmon tonight a wee grilse of about 3.5lb, as you can imagine he was buzzing.

Iv had 2 this season so far.

 

 

 

 

2 big trout and the 1 salmon caught on flying Cs the other caught on silver and bronze toby the fly rods just there to measure size.

nice 1 is that the nith tote hows it fishing been fairly quiet up here on lomond although i hear the ayrshire boys doing ok

That's the Bridge Pool at Thornhill f mac, the Nith's been poor this year for both sea trout and salmon, a lot of anglers

are complaining about the lack of fish.

well done lad i bet your well pleased! you will remember that fish forever, my son had his first when he was 14 and got the bug, they say once you catch a salmon your never bother fishing for anything els.. salmon are the king of fish as you now no very well, good lad and good luck.

 

ps. you got that fish on a short line beware i have lost a good few close to the net
