Simoman 110
Speaking as someone who has trained a few hundred dogs of various breeds i'll say that bulls are average at best at manwork, they are canine perfection at what they were bred for but they aren't a good manwork dog as a rule...... lietome 138
Speaking as someone who has trained a few hundred dogs of various breeds i'll say that bulls are average at best at manwork, they are canine perfection at what they were bred for but they aren't a good manwork dog as a rule...... How do Mastiff hybrids compare to other guard dog breeds? Well to be honest, there is no comparison whatsoever!! I regularly hear people commenting-why would you want a cross breed, when there are German Shepard dogs and Rottweilers that are more commonly available? Only a person that clearly knows nothing of mastiffs (or guard dogs in general) would make such a comment, for these types are compiled from animals of fighting origin, and are capable of overpowering the aforementioned breeds with ease, and therefore make for better dogs in the event of fighting off an intruder to your home, or attacker in the street. There’s no such thing as too much dog in a crisis situation. And why have a sheep farmer for protection, when you could have a night club doorman instead? Above right, a fine example of a mastiff hybrid "Mugs" , courtesy of Joe Lucero Bandogs, of working class kennells, yucca valley,CA USA.(this was taken off another site not my words) Edited September 23, 2011 by lietome

judge2010 196
what are your thoughts on the Fila and CO & COA simoman?
Simoman 110
what are your thoughts on the Fila and CO & COA simoman? I honestly can't say mate, never seen a fila, let alone work with one so only know what ive read so no experience to comment, same with the ovckarka, although personally i dont see the point in feeding a 100 kilo dog when a 40 kilo dog will do the same job Its like being shot in the head with a 9mm Beretta or a canon, ones bigger but they will both kill you
